Previous UiTM graduates celebrating their moments after the convocation ceremony

SHAH ALAM: Universiti Teknologi Mara(UITM) starts to finalize the preparation of the venue for its 84th convocation that soon will be celebrated on 23rd until 29th of April at Dewan Agung Tuanku Canselor (DATC).
Mohd Saad, assistant engineer for the convocation ceremony
said that the pre preparation has been done a week before.
“The pre preparation includes the setting of table, chairs
for the VVIP guests and the graduates. I would say that the preparation so far is
65 per cent being settled,” he said.
“We also will make sure that the past unwanted event where
the fire drill triggered during the last convocation ceremony will not happen
again. Therefore, we plan to set up the second power plant as the backup,” said
him.
The whole preparation will be completely settled during the full
dressed rehearsal in the next two days in time.
Meanwhile, the floor manager for the convocation, Yus Mohd
Hakim said that the preparation of the sound system for orchestra is still in
progress.
“We are currently setting up the appliances for the
instruments as well as the sound and technical systems,” said Yus.
On the first ceremony, there will be two special performances
from the students of Music Faculty of this university.
For this concovation ceremony, there will be 11,835 graduates
and 12 ceremonies of the convocation for Shah Alam campus.
